Log in user interface

  1. 1. Register
  2. 2. Login and Logout
  3. 3. Blocked accounts
  4. 4. Forgotten passwords

This chapter describes the use of HAiku from the users point of view.

1.  Register

The first step to use the web interface is to subscribe to the service.

People who are just curious to discover the web interface without the will to subscribe to a mobility service can see HAiku in action on the online demonstration. Simply login using demo as login and password.

The registration process begins on the main page of a mobility service. The user will have to register for an account by clicking on the Register button below the login box. You will be asked to file a form with your identity. All the fields are mandatory except the Organization one. If the operators of the service have defined a Terms of Service policy, you are requested to read and accept this policy too. You will also have to give a valid email address because a mail will be sent to you to confirm your subscription.

Wait for the confirmation mail and follow the instruction to validate your registration. If you don't receive a mail after you subscribed to the service, please contact the operators of the service.

2.  Login and Logout

The subscribers to the service can log in the web interface by filing their Login ID and password that they chose when they registered to the service on the main page of the service. Note that the user is automatically logged in the user interface when he validates his registration, i.e. he visits the link sent in his confirmation email.

The user logs out the web interface by hitting the "Logout" link in the left menu.

3.  Blocked accounts

The service operators have the possibility to suspend your account if you don't conform with the service policy. When your account is blocked, you will automatically receive a mail about your account status warning you that you won't be able to log in the web interface nor to register with the Home Agent. In other words you cannot use the mobility service until you conform again with the service policy. The operators most probably give the reason why your account has been blocked. In all the cases, you will have to contact the operators of the service once you feel you comply again with the Terms of Service.

4.  Forgotten passwords

You may have forgotten your password and be unable to log in the web interface. In this case, you still have the possibility to reset your password and set a new one. First go the the main page of the service and click the "Forgot my password" button below the login box. You will be asked to enter your email address with which you register to the service. An email will be sent to you with an URL giving you access to the web interface where you can update your password.
