A: A Live CD is a special CD containing a whole Operating System which is executed at boot time without the need to be physically installed onto a hard drive. It doesn’t alter the original OS and is thus convenient for testing or demonstrating purposes. A: We felt that it is important to provide a Live CD with Mobile IPv6 functionalities because it is currently impossible to use IPv6 mobility with common Operating Systems. In addition to the basic IPv6 mobility feature, the Live CD distribution is the occasion to gather softwares useful in an IPv6 and mobility environment. A: Many users have difficulties to setup the whole mobility environment. We therefore provide a pre-configured system including all required parameters and tools. When you boot your computer with Homeguy, you will automatically register with the Home Agent to benefit instantly from your mobility service. The Live CD must then contain your personal information such as the IPv6 address of your Mobile Node and other security parameters. Thereby we qualify the Live CD to be customized. A: We have made the Live CD available for download from Homeguy web page in two forms. You can chose to download only the source for Homeguy and build your own Live CD or download a blank Homeguy ISO (with no configuration files) meant to be used as a master by service operators using HAiku.
